Use LucyPhone and "Lose the wait."

Everyone hates waiting on hold for Customer Service. LucyPhone makes it easy to look up Customer Service numbers and place Customer Service calls. Just pick a company to call and give Lucy a number to call you back on. If you can't find the company you are looking for, no worries... you can also have Lucy connect you to any toll-free number. While Lucy waits on hold for you, the app shows you the status of the call. You can also re-join the call if you want to resume your place in the queue!

Here's how it works:

1. Lucy will call you first then "patch" you through to the company.

2. Use the company's phone menu just as you normally would. Get put on hold? Press (that's star star) and your phone will be disconnected but Lucy will stay on the line.

3. Once a live agent is on the line, Lucy will call you back immediately and connect you both. If you get put on hold again, just press again!

Have fun and never wait on hold again!

Anyone that uses a phone must have this.

What are apps really for? They are to solve a need we have. This app solves a need for me, time management. 10 minutes here 30 minutes there. Add up the time you spend on hold, the minutes exhausted on cell plans, the lunch hours burned. You end up with your life lost minute by minute on hold.

Well now that is all but over, Lucy Phone gives you back your time and hopefully your sanity. It works, it's simple (from the user end) and I highly suggest we all get it. Thanks to the Lucy Phone team for this solution.

Answer to hold time hell

I downloaded this app after I got tired of waiting on hold for over half an hour for the seventh time with Delta Dental and listening to the typical static-filled hold music. I figured why not, and it worked great -- Lucy waited on hold for me for almost 90 minutes while I worked in peaceful silence without the jarring "unusual wait times" message every 3 minutes disrupting my workflow and making me more and more frustrated. (PS if the wait times are so unusual how come every time I call over the course of the week it's the same lengthy wait time? Wouldn't that be USUAL?)

Anyway the app worked to perfection even though the number I wanted to call wasn't already in the LucyPhone database. I think the CSR might have been a little taken aback by the system but he pressed the button anyway and I was connected.

LucyPhone turned what was an extremely frustrated mood into one of such relief that I wanted to immediately come write this review.

The App Functions but the operator I was on hold for hung up on me

The app functions as described and the feature set is very exciting in concept but Lucy Phone is not flawless and does not work 100% of the time.
I used Lucy Phone app (the current version) and followed the requisite steps to get the Lucy app to put me on hold. So I waited as the app was on hold for me.
Then after about a half and hour of being oh hold I get a message that the call center I was on hold with 'hung up/disconnected the call" from their end. My assumption is that the operator hung up on the Lucy app once s/he figured a person was not on the line and did not choose to wait for the Lucy phone app to patch me in. This was my initial concern about the Lucy app, that operators would hang up on the call once they figured out that a person was not on the line. This is a big flaw--after waiting for more than 30 minutes on hold with the app I eventually do not get the call because the operator hangs up--very frustrating because I am very hesitant to use the Lucy app again because I dont want to have to wait on hold with the app then get hung up on and then have to call the call center again and wait on hold manually (sans app). Am I doing something incorrect in using the app, have other people experienced this issue and how did they get around it?
